Cabin in the Woods: JAM COMPLETE!
10/14/12 by TroisNyxEtienne
Friends, I present to you the fruit of the collaboration between Squidly, Hyptosis and myself.
Presenting, The Hut in Ayre Forest!
----------
Now admittedly, it was difficult, what with the finer details we had to pay attention to over the past 48 hours, being stuck for story ideas for an hour or so, dealing with processor speed problems when it came to programming and music. Still, we're glad it's done, and we're glad to share this with you.

Listen I had no intention of breaking anyone. In fact I thought the criticism was fair and was meant to help you guys improve the game. I only pointed out the most crucial flows and that was all. Heck I looked at the reviews myself because I wanted to take back my words for the negative effect they gave off. Then I see this ass "Alkaizer" speaking in the 3rd person about insignificant things like spelling mistakes and acting all high and mighty. We got off on the wrong foot I really like the music you produce and and review I've written is criticism I understand the reaction but Save that vessel from drowning! And no I don't like the animation/game thing. I don't like the dumb 24/48 hr contests. That's no way to create I consider such things useless.
Admittedly, Sparrowhawk, these contests were created to give exposure. That's a large part of the reason why people take part in Game Jams. I accept the fact that part of the support I got was from the last two GJs I took part in. Sadly, a lot of people weren't happy this time. It hasn't been our team alone. We all wanted to know how we fared at all. It was only natural that we were all discouraged because the same team won thrice.
I humbly accept your rationale, and I thank you that you were honest in any case.

My apologies if what I said offended you it was only my honest opinion. As you've seen it could have easily bean worse.
Anything could easily be worse, heck, even the game itself, I guarantee you. We were meant to include far more. Time constraints wouldn't allow us. Squidly knows better now, but I will stand up for him because not only your review, but many other reviews broke him and made him feel as if he had failed us, when all we were doing was salvaging a supposedly sinking ship.
Squidly was prepared to even leave the Game Jam because he had no dev team at all. That we even got a dev team is a miracle in itself. And yes, our ship is no beauty -- it's got broken pieces of wood. It's going to take time before it turns into a magnificent vessel.

Look at all the new reviews. A fair review indeed.
Tsk, tsk. You came to justify yourself after all that? I still challenge you to take a gander at the next Game Jam and see for yourself. Then you'll be one to talk.

I just reviewed it, and hope that you get to collaborate with more animators/programmers on here.
Thank you!
I do certainly hope so too. Collabs are fun, and well worth it.
Admittedly, when I sought out Squidly, he warned me that I was boarding a sinking ship. I didn't know what made me press on anyway. Then came the artist: I had come across my artist mate from the previous Game Jam, but the poor soul couldn't contribute because of the circumstances she was put in. Then we got desperate, and until 12pm (BST) we were looking for an artist. Hyptosis just came along, and my jaw dropped wide open when he came.
I'm thankful that the game has come so far.
